Acute calcific tendonitis in the hand
1Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Pennsylvania State University, Hershey.
Abstract:
Calcific tendonitis in the hand is an uncommon entity with a clinical presentation that is very similar to that of infection. Because of the similarity, the potential for misdiagnosis and mismanagement is high. An awareness of calcific tendonitis in the hand and the associated clinical and radiographic findings will aid in its early diagnosis and treatment.
