Mendelian randomization rules out the causal relationship between serum lipids and cholecystitis

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol shows a minor protective effect against cholecystitis, while total cholesterol, triglycerides, and HDL cholesterol do not have a significant causal impact. Further research is needed to confirm these findings on serum lipids and gallbladder disease.
