Abstract:
In summary, I can assure you that if you give high-dose antibiotics at the time of operation, it is possible to show--either by bioassay techniques or by laboratory studies--that antibiotics reach the tissue at the time of operation. They lie within the fluid spaces in bone and are effective against the pathogenic organisms.
