Serum carcinoembryonic antigen elevation in benign lung diseases

Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is elevated in a small percentage of patients with benign lung diseases (BLD), rarely exceeding 20 ng/mL. Comprehensive analysis of lung disease type, patient age, and comorbidities is crucial when CEA levels rise.
