Relationship between Selective IgA Deficiency and COVID-19 Prognosis

- Impaired mucosal immunity in SIgAD patients may lead to increased viral entry and heightened risk of severe complications like cytokine storm syndrome and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
- Further research is warranted to elucidate the precise mechanisms linking SIgAD to severe COVID-19.
