Degenerative spinal deformity (DSD) can decrease abdominal cavity volume (ACV), particularly in degenerative lumbar scoliosis (DLS) and degenerative lumbar scoliokyphosis (DKS). Degenerative kyphosis (DK) affects diaphragm rotation but not ACV.
