Summary

This study found that the brachial plexus in pigs has a similar radiation tolerance to the spinal cord, with an estimated 50% effective dose (ED50) of 19.3 Gy for neurological deficit. These findings challenge previous perceptions of peripheral nerve radiation tolerance.
