Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the early outcomes of a novel technique for reconstructing the dissected aortic root in Type A aortic dissection.
  • To determine the safety and efficacy of this reconstructive approach.

  • A prospective study involving 300 patients undergoing aortic root repair for Type A aortic dissection.
  • The technique included commissural resuspension, sinus reinforcement with pericardial/Dacron bands, and adventitial inversion.
