Summary

Self-testing for high-risk human papillomavirus (hr-HPV) infections using vaginal or urine samples can significantly increase cervical cancer screening participation. These convenient methods show high sensitivity for detecting CIN 3+ lesions, comparable to clinician-taken smears.
