Capitonnage method selection in pulmonary hydatidosis with purse-string or interrupted suture

Interrupted suture capitonnage for lung hydatid cysts may reduce hospitalization duration and preserve lung parenchyma better than purse-string sutures. This study compared complication rates between these two capitonnage methods.

Conclusions:
- Interrupted capitonnage may lead to a shorter hospital stay compared to purse-string capitonnage.
- The interrupted suture technique shows potential for better preservation of lung parenchymal anatomy.
- This study provides initial evidence supporting interrupted capitonnage for improved postoperative recovery in hydatid cyst surgery.
