Summary

A rare case of primary bone adult T-cell lymphoma presented with extensive osteolysis and bone loss. Early chemotherapy with CHOPE significantly improved the patient's bone pain and symptoms.

  • Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a group of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas.
  • Hypercalcemia and primary bone lesions are uncommon initial symptoms of PTCL.

Observation:

  • A 76-year-old man presented with severe bone pain and limited arm mobility.
  • X-ray revealed extensive osteolytic destruction and radial diaphysis loss, indicative of primary bone lesions.

Findings:

  • The patient was diagnosed with primary bone adult T-cell lymphoma based on immunohistochemical analysis.
  • Treatment with the CHOPE chemotherapy regimen led to substantial relief from bone pain.

Implications:

  • This case highlights the importance of considering rare presentations of PTCL, particularly primary bone involvement.
  • Prompt diagnosis and chemotherapy can effectively manage symptoms in patients with this rare lymphoma subtype.
