COVID-19 lockdowns significantly altered air quality, decreasing most airborne pollutants like nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and particulate matter (PM2.5/PM10), except for ground-level ozone (O3). This study highlights the link between reduced human activity and improved environmental conditions.
