  • A retrospective cohort study was conducted over 25 years.
  • Data were collected from three specialized referral centers.
  • Fifty patients diagnosed with vulvar Crohn's disease were identified and analyzed.

Main Results:

  • The most frequent symptoms included vulvar pain (74%), edema (60%), ulcerations (46%), nodules (36%), and abscesses (34%).
  • Medical management achieved symptomatic improvement in many cases.
  • A subset of patients (10%) eventually required surgical intervention.

Conclusions:

  • Vulvar Crohn's disease presents with diverse clinical features.
  • Aggressive medical therapy is often effective, but surgical intervention may be necessary for some patients.
