Abstract:
The current methods for testing enteropathogenic E. coli have been revised and slightly modified for use in our laboratory. Their applicability as screening tools in epidemiological surveys is discussed. It is concluded that the current methods for detecting these E. coli in epidemiological surveys are inadequate and laborious and the need for a simple field method is stressed.
