Positron emission tomography (PET) is a medical imaging technique involving radiopharmaceuticals — substances that emit short-lived radiation. Summary

This study introduces a novel histogram-based normalization method for [18F]-FDG PET brain imaging in rats. This technique significantly reduces variability, enabling more accurate statistical analysis of glucose metabolism and lesion detection.
