Optimizing pooled testing for SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) diagnostics, this study found pipette-pooling and vortexing swabs effective. Pool testing significantly reduced PCR reactions, proving feasible for large-scale surveillance in low-prevalence settings.
