    Summary

    Netilmicin, a novel aminoglycoside antibiotic, demonstrates potent in vitro activity against Enterobacteriaceae and shows promising clinical efficacy in hospitalized patients. While generally well-tolerated, potential nephrotoxicity and a unique observation of elevated alkaline phosphatase warrant further investigation.
