Bone Marrow Hypocellularity in Patients with End-Stage Kidney Disease

Bone marrow hypocellularity is common in patients with kidney dysfunction, occurring more frequently in end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) than chronic kidney disease (CKD). This highlights the need for further research into bone marrow pathology in these patient groups.

- ESKD status (OR 9.43) and megakaryocyte count (OR 0.48) were significant predictors of hypocellularity.

- Hypocellular bone marrow is more common in ESKD patients compared to CKD patients.
