A Strangulated Amyand's hernia:The first case report in Syria

• Emergency exploratory surgery was performed to assess the appendix's condition and rule out incarceration.
• The surgery confirmed an incarcerated appendix, necessitating appendectomy and inguinal hernia repair.

Implications:

• This case highlights the importance of surgical exploration for suspected Amyand's hernia.
• Prompt diagnosis and surgical management are crucial for favorable outcomes in pediatric cases of incarcerated Amyand's hernia.
