Findings:
- Ayurvedic treatment, including oral formulations, Yapan Basti, Netratarpan, Nasya, and Abhyanga, was administered for 12 months.
- The patient showed significant visual improvement, progressing from no light perception to light and ray perception in the affected eye.
- VEP testing indicated improved P100 latencies, and subjective visual quality improved.
Implications:
- Ayurvedic principles and Panchakarma therapy demonstrate potential in managing Traumatic Optic Neuropathy.
- Early Ayurvedic intervention may significantly improve visual outcomes and optic nerve fiber recovery in TON patients.
