  • A cohort of 416 patients with stage I-III CRC from Taiwan were analyzed.
  • Validated scales assessed symptom severity, fatigue, depression, self-efficacy, spiritual well-being, and resilience.
  • Structural equation modeling was employed to test the proposed resilience model.

  • The initial resilience model did not fit the data.
  • A revised model demonstrated that depressive symptoms partially mediate the relationship between protective factors and resilience.
