Bullying in UK cardiology: a systemic problem requiring systemic solutions

Bullying is common among cardiology trainees, disproportionately affecting women and international graduates. Consultants are the most frequent perpetrators, highlighting a need for intervention in medical training environments.

- 33% reported inappropriate behavior; 8% experienced shouting/anger.
- Cardiology (82%) and other specialty consultants (70%) were most implicated.
