  • A 61-year-old woman with recurrent uterine sarcoma underwent 13 cytoreductive surgeries, including extensive organ resections and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy.
  • Despite extensive tumor debulking (over 60 liters), the patient maintained a satisfactory quality of life and continued working as a teacher.
  • Serial computed tomography scans showed no signs of tumor recurrence 64 months post-relapse.

Findings:

  • The patient achieved an overall survival of 69 months, surpassing the 5-year mark from initial diagnosis.
