Does the additional usage of a local hemostatic patch reduce bleeding after aortic reimplantation?

The use of a local hemostatic patch (Tachosil) during aortic valve replacement significantly reduced postoperative drainage and improved hemoglobin levels. This intervention also showed a trend towards fewer renal complications in patients undergoing this cardiac surgery.
