Extinction Training During the Reconsolidation Window Prevents Recovery of Fear

Novelty-facilitated extinction effectively prevents fear generalization, unlike modified standard extinction which failed to prevent fear relapse. Emotion regulation scores correlated negatively with fear recovery, suggesting its role in fear extinction maintenance.
