Real-world corticosteroid use in severe pneumonia: a propensity-score-matched study

Corticosteroids may reduce mortality in severe community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) patients with septic shock or high inflammation requiring mechanical ventilation. No survival benefit was seen in less severe CAP cases.
