Are RMGIC restorations as effective with or without selective caries removal in primary molars?

Sealing cavitated dentine occlusal carious lesions in children using resin-modified glass ionomer cements (RMGIC) without caries removal showed lower success rates. Selective caries removal prior to RMGIC sealing improved treatment outcomes for pediatric dental caries.
