Neurological Complications in Active Left-Sided Infective Endocarditis Requiring Early Surgery

Preoperative symptomatic neurological complications (SNC) in infective endocarditis patients needing surgery do not predict worse long-term survival. However, early surgery within a week of SNC increases mortality risk.
