  • PAVMs necessitate treatment, highlighting the importance of accurate differentiation.

Observation:

  • Two cases of asymptomatic patients with suspected PAVMs were investigated.
  • Initial imaging (CT) suggested PAVMs, but further evaluation was needed.
  • Pulmonary angiography provided critical insights into pulmonary blood flow dynamics.

Findings:

  • Pulmonary angiography successfully distinguished CPV from PAVMs in both cases.
  • Neither patient required treatment for their diagnosed CPV.
  • Long-term follow-up confirmed the benign nature of CPV with no complications.

Implications:

  • Pulmonary angiography is a key diagnostic tool for differentiating CPV and PAVMs.
  • Accurate diagnosis prevents unnecessary treatment for benign CPV.
