Mice lacking lactosylceramide-alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase (ST3GAL5) showed attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)-like behaviors, altered metabolism, and brain wave changes, suggesting a role for gangliosides in ADHD.
