The Degree of Plasma Oxidized Low-Density Lipoprotein Level Decrease Is Related to Clinical Outcomes for Patients

A significant decrease in oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) levels is linked to better recovery and long-term outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients. This reduction, however, did not correlate with acute infarct volume.

Conclusions:
- The degree of plasma oxLDL level decrease is a significant predictor of neurological improvement and favorable functional prognosis in patients with acute atherosclerosis-related ischemic stroke.
- Changes in oxLDL levels do not appear to be associated with infarct volume in the acute phase of ischemic stroke.
- Monitoring oxLDL level reduction may offer insights into stroke recovery potential.
