    Background:

    • Osteocalcin is a well-established bone matrix protein.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the presence and localization of osteocalcin in developing rat tooth germs.
    • To explore the potential role of osteocalcin in early dentinogenesis.

    • Purification of osteocalcin from rat incisor extracts.
    • Molecular weight determination using SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
    • Amino acid analysis.
    • Immunoblotting and immunocytochemistry on tooth germ cryosections.
