Background:

Managing separated endodontic instruments (SI) presents challenges in restorative dentistry.
Treatment planning for SI retrieval depends on tooth anatomy, instrument characteristics, and clinician expertise.

Observation:

This study presents four symptomatic cases of SI retrieval using diverse methods.
Techniques included ultrasonic tips, wire loop, safe-sided H-files, braiding, and file bypassing.

Findings:

All four cases demonstrated successful instrument retrieval and satisfactory 1-year clinical and radiographic outcomes.
Patient-reported outcomes were also positive, indicating effective management.

Implications:

Understanding influencing factors is crucial for selecting the optimal SI management technique.
Appropriate technique selection directly impacts the success rate of endodontic procedures.
