Abstract:
Subsequently to the publication of the above article, the authors have realized that the immunohistochemical staining of CD31 in the 'Ad‑NC group' portrayed in Fig. 7 on p. 1539 was published with an image that had been incorrectly captured from the 'Saline' group. This inadvertent error arose as a consequence of miscommunication between a pair of the authors on the paper when capturing the images. The authors have re‑examined their original data and identified the correct data for the Ad‑NC group in Fig. 7. The corrected version of Fig. 7, showing the correct CD31 staining data for the Ad‑NC group, is shown below. Note that this error did not affect the major conclusions reported in the paper. All the authors have agreed to this corrigendum, and apologize to the Editor of International Journal of Molecular Medicine and to the readership for any inconvenience caused. Insights
A correction to Fig. 7 in a previous study clarifies immunohistochemical staining for CD31 in the Ad-NC group. This image error did not alter the study's main conclusions.
Area of Science:
- Immunohistochemistry
- Molecular Medicine
- Cellular Biology
Context:
- The original article investigated specific biological processes and utilized various experimental groups.
- Figure 7 in the original publication depicted immunohistochemical staining for CD31.
Purpose:
- To correct an error in the presentation of immunohistochemical staining data for the Ad-NC group in Figure 7.
- To provide the accurate image data for the Ad-NC group's CD31 staining.
Summary:
- An inadvertent error occurred during image capture for Figure 7, where an image from the 'Saline' group was mistakenly used for the 'Ad-NC' group.
- Upon re-examination of original data, the correct image for the Ad-NC group's CD31 staining has been identified and is presented.
- This correction does not impact the overall conclusions of the original study.
Impact:
- Ensures accurate representation of experimental results for CD31 staining in the Ad-NC group.
- Maintains the integrity of the scientific record and aids in the correct interpretation of the study's findings.
- Provides clarity to researchers relying on the presented data for future investigations.
