Development of an Insulin Nano-delivery System through Buccal Administration

This study developed a novel insulin nano-delivery system for buccal administration. The resulting buccal film enhanced mucoadhesion and sustained insulin release, reducing cumulative release by over 50% compared to nanoparticles alone.
