In this editorial vision statement, the author expresses hope that he can provide stewardship for Personality Disorders: Theory, Research, and Treatment (PDTRT) that follows in the path that his predecessors have laid over the past 12 years. The author is joined in this venture by Carla Sharp, the first associate editor in the history of the journal. He discusses open science initiatives and emphases in the journal, and the goal of PDTRT to increase diversity with regard to authors, reviewers, sample participants, and perspective.
