Main Results:

Pooled nonunion rate was 6.3%; conversion to total wrist arthrodesis was 4.2%.
Mean wrist flexion: 40.7°, extension: 49.7°; grip strength: 75.9% of the contralateral hand.
Kienbock disease showed a lower nonunion rate (3.3%) compared to other indications (14.1%). Increasing age was associated with complications.

Conclusions:

STT arthrodesis demonstrates a low failure rate and acceptable functional outcomes.
Postoperative wrist range of motion and strength are comparable to the non-affected hand.
Age is a significant factor influencing complications after STT arthrodesis.
