Summary

This study found that both the Rapid Palatal Expander (RPE) and Nitanium Palatal Expander-2 (NPE-2) effectively increased palatal width and surface area. Neither device showed significant differences in anterior or posterior arch width, or palatal height, indicating equal efficacy in correcting transverse defects.
