GIS-based multicriteria decision analysis for settlement areas: a case study in Canik

This study used GIS to identify suitable settlement areas in Canik District, prioritizing low natural disaster risk and biocomfort. Only 2.1% of the area was ideal, necessitating the use of less suitable but safer land for new settlements.
