Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE) is a frequent cause of infectious keratitis, exhibiting significant multidrug resistance. Clinically, MRSE keratitis presents similarly to methicillin-susceptible S. epidermidis (MSSE) keratitis.
