Abstract:
Fifteen isolated fractures of the olecranon in children aged 3-13 years were studied over 1-2 years. The mechanism of injury was not clear in most of them. Ten with little displaced fractures were treated conservatively with excellent results. Four with grossly displaced fractures were treated operatively with good results. A unique case was left without treatment because of the parents' refusal.
