Visceral artery aneurysms (VAAs) are rare but dangerous. Endovascular embolization offers a minimally invasive treatment for ruptured ileocolic artery pseudoaneurysms, leading to successful clinical outcomes.

Background:
- Visceral artery aneurysms (VAAs) and pseudoaneurysms (VAPAs) are uncommon and potentially fatal vascular conditions.
- Ruptured VAAs/VAPAs often present as incidental findings on CT scans in asymptomatic individuals.
- While open surgery is traditional, endovascular techniques offer a less invasive alternative with reduced risk.
Observation:
- A 51-year-old female presented with acute abdominal pain, tachycardia, and hypotension.
- CT angiography revealed evidence of abdominal bleeding and a ruptured ileocolic artery (ICA) pseudoaneurysm.
- The patient's symptoms indicated a critical vascular emergency.
Findings:
- The patient underwent prompt endovascular treatment for the ruptured ICA pseudoaneurysm.
- Coil embolization was successfully performed to occlude the pseudoaneurysm.
- The endovascular intervention effectively controlled the bleeding and stabilized the patient.
Implications:
- Endovascular embolization is a viable and effective treatment for ruptured visceral artery pseudoaneurysms.
- Minimally invasive approaches can achieve successful outcomes in managing these rare vascular emergencies.
- Early intervention can prevent catastrophic hemorrhage and improve patient prognosis.
