Summary

The SARS-CoV-2 epidemic significantly impacted Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) workers, causing an excess of temporary work incapacity for respiratory diseases (ITT-ER). This analysis highlights the utility of ITT-ER data for emerging disease surveillance.
