Pediatric open globe injuries (OGIs) can cause blindness. Three ocular trauma scores (Ocular Trauma Score, Pediatric Penetrating Ocular Trauma Score, and Toddler/Infant Ocular Trauma Score) effectively predicted visual outcomes in children, with pupillary defect and injury zone being key factors.
