Summary

This case report details an advanced gallbladder cancer patient who survived 14 months with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This offers a potential treatment strategy for biliary tract cancer.

Background:

Advanced biliary tract cancer (BTC) has a poor prognosis with a median survival under one year.
Research on gallbladder cancer (GBC) treatment, particularly second-line options, is limited.

Observation:

A patient presented with symptoms of advanced gallbladder cancer.
The patient received a combination of chemotherapy regimens (oxaliplatin, capecitabine, gemcitabine) and immunotherapy (pembrolizumab).

Findings:

The patient achieved a 14-month survival with no signs of disease progression.
The treatment regimen demonstrated a positive clinical outcome in this advanced GBC case.

Implications:

This case suggests a potential effective treatment template for advanced GBC.
The findings may contribute to improved therapeutic strategies for biliary tract cancers.
