Background:

  • Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory™ (PedsQL™) is a widely used measure for health-related quality of life.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the initial measurement properties of the PedsQL™ Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Module.
  • To assess the reliability and validity of the PedsQL™ SCI Module from both youth and parent perspectives.
  • To establish the psychometric properties of a new tool for pediatric SCI research and clinical practice.

  • A multisite national study involving 166 youth (ages 8-25) with SCI and 128 parents.
  • Administration of the PedsQL™ SCI Module and PedsQL™ 4.0 Generic Core Scales.
