Abstract:
In the management of patients with acquired defects of the palate, continuity between immediate and intermediate stages of obturation has always posed a major problem. This is because the intermediate obturator is required as early in the post-surgical phase as possible, consistent with minimum interference to the healing tissues and minimum trauma to the patient. This paper describes a technique which helps to overcome the problem.
