A few session moments

Abstract:
This communication presents three session vignettes with three different people. The three dialogues are (1) Wondering; (2) Evacuative Moments and a Wish for Something Better, (3) Not the Lord. An emphasis is the evocative richness of moments in therapy that involve speech yet run silently through different psychic dimensions opening possibilities of growth. So much life happens in ways hard to pin down; yet trying to speak from one's being and voice one's concerns gives rise to something one might call psychic resonance.

Moment-Area Theorems
The theorem is divided into two parts. The first part connects the angle between tangents at any two points on the beam's elastic curve to the area under a curve derived by...
Moment of a Couple: Problem Solving
The moment of a couple is found by multiplying the magnitude of one of the forces by the perpendicular distance between the line of action of the two forces. This creates a twisting force, which can be used to rotate an object. The moment of a couple is used to solve problems...

Work of a Couple Moment
When the rigid body undergoes a differential displacement due to a couple, its motion can be divided into two parts: equal translation of the two points to their final...
Moment of Inertia
If a rigid body is rotating about an axis but is not in translational motion, its translational kinetic energy is zero. However, since each particle undergoes rotational motion, it possesses non-zero velocity and kinetic energy. Thus, the kinetic energy of the rigid body, which is the sum of the...
