Summary

Patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) exhibit reduced heart rate variability (HRV) and sympathetic nervous system predominance. They also show an impaired ability to adapt autonomic nervous system responses during virtual reality (VR) therapy compared to controls.
