    Area of Science:

    • Optics and Photonics
    • Scientific Publishing

    Background:

    • A previous study published in Applied Optics contained errors in specific equations.
    • These errors were identified in Eqs. (5) and (8).

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To formally correct and acknowledge errors in the mathematical formulations of a prior publication.
    • To ensure accuracy and transparency in scientific records.

    Main Methods:

    • Identification of inaccuracies in Eqs. (5) and (8).
    • Correction of the identified mathematical errors.

    Main Results:

    • The erratum provides the corrected versions of Eqs. (5) and (8).
    • Crucially, all prior simulations and experimental work utilized the correct equations, rendering the original results and conclusions valid.

    Conclusions:

    • The corrections presented in this erratum do not alter the outcomes or interpretations of the original research.
    • This ensures the integrity and reliability of the published scientific findings.
